Pop the champagne! Arbuckle Media has just found out that we’ve won our second ever award as an agency.
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve taken home the 2020 Hermes Gold Award for its rebrand of the International Racquetball Tour in the Logo Design category. ‘We Changed the Face of Professional Racquetball,’ as the project is titled, was a full redesign of the league’s visual brand, as well as creating a visual system that worked across. The design was the work of our president and founder, Joel Arbuckle, who worked with the league over the 2018-19 season to undertake the entire rebrand project, which was finalized and launched last year.
Hermes Creative Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, and freelance professionals. AMCP oversees awards and recognition programs, provides
judges, and rewards outstanding achievement and service to the profession.
As part of its mission, AMCP fosters and supports the efforts of creative professionals who contribute their unique talents to public service and charitable organizations. In addition, the efforts of generous marketing and communication professionals are acknowledged through grants and special recognition.
The International Racquetball Tour was a very special project for me personally – I had always wanted to . Sports branding is especially challenging, because not only are you looking to represent a sport with such a rich history in an elegant way, but you’re also beholden to the buy-in and acceptance of the larger community of fans, and in this case, fans all over the globe. It’s incredible to have been recognized for excellence while competing with more than 6,500 entries from Canada, the United States and several other countries.
– Joel Arbuckle
